With pride and pleasure it is that The Masters and Board of Directors are pleased to announce that John Curtis will become a Master of Beaver Meadow Foxhounds with all its rights and responsibilities beginning August 1st, 2015. John is a long time rider and started showing on the hunter/jumper circuit when he was 11 and by the time he was 14 became involved in eventing. He has spent time breeding and showing Canadian Sport horses on his own farm where he also coached young riders, trained foals and continued with much success in eventing. Late in his eventing career he discovered the Sport of Riding to Hounds and rode a number of times with Bethany Hills Hunt Club. He became involved with Beaver Meadow Foxhounds with its inception in 1998 and has been a long time member of the club and has often been seen leading the field.
When not playing with the ponies John has had a very successful career in banking and has worked his way up through the ranks and presently is a Manager with Scotiabank in Peterborough.
His myriad of skills: leadership, riding, decision making and his passion for foxhunting makes John an excellent choice to carry the title of Master of Foxhounds for our dynamic club. Welcome Mr. Curtis, MFH and we look forward to riding with you in the field.
